About the Center

The Howard University and PNC National Center for Entrepreneurship is a national consortium & resource hub focused on enhancing entrepreneurship education and empowering entrepreneurs around the country.

Launched in 2022, the National Center specifically supports the launch, growth, and acquisition of business ventures through providing access to programs, capital, curriculum, research, skills training, events and other resources.

The National Center works collaboratively to coordinate programs and initiatives for entrepreneurs through the nation’s network of 101+ HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities). And through this work, the National Center not only impacts students, faculty, staff, and alumni, through this network of institutions, but also reaches business owners and investors in the community all with the collective goal of empowering an ecosystem of the next generation of entrepreneurship.

A National Network with Regional Hubs

The National Center is located on Howard University’s campus, but also includes programming at four regional HBCUs, which coordinate programs, research and other community outreach efforts at partner HBCUs across the country. Howard University, Morgan State University, Clark Atlanta University and Texas Southern University, each lead one of the four regions to allow for effective coordination of programs and activities across all HBCUs, including education programs, research strategies and business outreach. Each regional center has a four to six state footprint.
