ATLANTA, GA – February 28, 2025 – Clark Atlanta University School of Business in partnership with B.E. Collective+ will host the inaugural Sports and Entertainment Entrepreneurship Summit, powered by the Southeast Regional Center for Entrepreneurship at Clark Atlanta University.
This groundbreaking event will bring together student-athletes from HBCUs, high schools, and their broader communities, including parents and coaches, to explore the rapidly evolving opportunities in Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals. Business students with a passion for sports entrepreneurship and law students aiming to specialize in sports-related law will also have access to tailored workshops and networking opportunities.
“We’re excited to collaborate with Clark Atlanta University School of Business on this transformative event, focusing on equipping the HBCU community with the tools to thrive in the NIL landscape,” said Antoine Burrell. “This summit represents the future of sports and entrepreneurship at the intersection of education and opportunity.”
Key Highlights of the Summit Include:

- Keynote Address: A thought-provoking opening keynote by Dr. Tommy Jackson, whose expertise in NIL legislation, higher education policy, and finance offers a unique perspective. Dr. Jackson, a former NFL athlete and accomplished scholar with advanced degrees in law, business, and public administration, will share insights on the economic and legal dynamics of NIL and its transformative potential for student-athletes.
- Networking Opportunities: A unique Ice Cream Social Networking Activation designed to foster casual, creative interactions among students, professionals, and sponsors.

Speakers include prominent entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and influencers, with sessions moderated by Dr. Markesha Henderson (Assistant Dean, Clark Atlanta University School of Business), Burunda Prince (CAU Southeast Regional Center for Entrepreneurship), and Antoine Burrell (CEO, B.E. Collective+).
Atlanta, with its rich legacy of five professional sports teams, three historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), and a thriving media and creative sector, provides the perfect backdrop for such an impactful event,” said Burunda Prince, Regional Southeastern Director. “This is not just a conference—it’s an opportunity to forge connections, share knowledge, and drive forward the innovation and partnerships that will define the next generation of sports and entertainment professionals.”
Attendees will benefit from a carefully curated program that balances education, practical skills, and networking. With workshops addressing NIL fundamentals, branding strategies, and entrepreneurial insights, the summit promises to deliver tangible takeaways for participants at all stages of their sports and business journeys.
“Empowering student-athletes to authentically tell their stories and build lasting brands is essential in today’s evolving sports landscape,” said Ivory Tabb, Sports Marketing Agent and NIL educator. “By equipping them with the tools and knowledge to navigate the Name, Image, and Likeness space, we’re shaping the future of sports and entrepreneurship.”
This event is expected to attract local and national media attention, as well as a dynamic audience eager to engage in the evolving NIL industry.
